Grave Gamer certainly isn't as morbid as it might sound. This site is a portfolio of some of my best work because in a tech-savvy world dominated by Facebook and Justin Bieber it's important to carve out a little corner of the internet you can call your own. As a recent graduate from Ex'pression College with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Game Art & Design I've recently embarked on the desperate and often sweaty search for a job. After three years of hard work and long nights this site is a place to house samples of my writing, graphic design work and my demo reel.
The reel below showcases my eye for detail, ability to conceptualize and create a working game level and knowledge of programs like Maya, Unreal and Photoshop. When many creative types such as myself have set a clear goal they'd like to pursue, my net is a little wider. What I know without a doubt is that whatever it is I end up doing with my life it will be in the video games industry. This field is ultra-competitive, fast-paced and constantly evolving, and these are all things I find incredibly exciting. Whether I end up being a Producer or Quality Assurance Analyst for a major game studio or a Community Manager or Editor for a prominent gaming publication, I'll always be ecstatic to come to work in the morning. It might sound like a cliche, but video games are neither a hobby nor a 9-to-5 job for me, this is an industry I'm incredibly passionate about. I hope you'll see this reflected in my work.
